Fallout 4 where to find wire
WebJust build a small generator, then an item that needs power (like the settler broadcaster thingy). Walk over to the generator and you should see an option on the bottom to run a wire. Press X to start the wire at the generator, walk over to the powered item, press X, and the wire will auto-complete. Voila, power. jhermannitj 7 years ago #3.

The only way I've found to remove glitched wires on is on the PC by selecting it via the console and typing in 'disable'. If you go into build mode, and select the wire you should be able to store it in your workshop.
